How to setup TCP/IP in Windows

In some cases you may need to setup static IP address in Windows OS. To setup TCP/IP manually, you need to know the gateway IP, subnet and DNS. In our example, the router IP is 10.0.0.2; the DNS servers are 10.0.0.17 and 10.0.0.18; and the subnet is 255.255.0.0. You can find these information from the router or other workstations.

To setup a windows to use static IP address, open the properties of LAN. Under Network tab, double click on Internet Protocol Version 4(TCP/IPv4). Enter the above information accordingly.
