How to check and enable Easy Connect Remote Assistance in a domain computer  - Step by step with screenshots

Easy Connect in Windows 8 and 2012 use Microsoft’s “Peer Name Resolution Protocol” (PNRP) and IPv6 to function. Since most of us do not have IPv6 support from our service providers, Microsoft uses Teredo technology to tunnel to IPv6 addresses. If you use Easy Connect is within a domain joined computer, you may receive Easy Connect is not available message because by default it is disable in the domain computer.

To check Teredo’s status, you can run this command: netsh int teredo show state.

If you get "offline" State, this is because Error: “client is in a managed network” that is in domain environment.

To enable Teredo in a managed domain environment, you can run this command: netsh int teredo set state type=enterpriseclient

Now, run "netsh int teredo show state" again to check the statues.

.

You will see dormant State meaning the Teredo is enabled and you are ready to use Easy Connect.
