Troubleshooting Browsing over VPN - A2: Ping the VPN server by IP. Can't ping - reason 2 (reason 1, reason 3) One reason that you can't ping the remote computers after connecting to the VPN is the both sites are using the same IP range. For example, both sites are using 192.168.0.0/255.255.255.0. Here is a good case, Can't access the remote resources at home only.
