How to check if Windows VPN server is running  MS-CHAPv2.

To check if the RRAS is configured to allow connections with MS-CHAPv2, please follow these steps:

1. Open RRAS console from the administartive Tools or Run Start>Run>rrasmgmt.msc

2. Right-click on the Servername --> Properties --> Security tab --> Click on 'Authentication methods'

c. Verify that MSCHAPv2 checkbox is checked. If not, check the checkbox next to MSCHAPv2 and click on Apply. Click on OK.

To Check if the RADIUS server policy supports MSCHAPv2, please following these steps:

1. Open IAS console on the Radius server. Start --> Run --> ias.msc

2. Navigate to the 'Remote Access Policies' Node.

3. Doubleclick on the remote access policy - Connections to Microsoft Routing and  Remote Access servers --> Click on 'Edit profile' --> 'Authentication' tab

4. Ensure that MS-CHAPv2 is selected in the list of authentication methods.

4. Click on OK.
