How to predefine a DHCP Option

To assign an IP address a IP phone automatically, you may want to reconfigure DHCP Option. In our case, we will describe how to setup predefined DHCP Option 156 for IP phone.

1. Run DHCP Manager from Administrative Tools.

2. Right click on the DHCP server and Set Predefined Option.

3. Click Add.

4. Type IP phone for the Name.

5. Select String as Date Type.

6. Type 156 as Code.

7. In the Value, type: ftpserver=IP_address, country=1, language=1. Note IP_Address is the IP Phone server IP address, country and language code 1 is for USA.
