How to upload to and download from a FTP There are many FTP clients available for Mac and PCs to upload to and download from a FTP. Internet Explorer and Windows Explorer on PC platforms already have an FTP client built in to it. This article describes how to directly access FTP Web sites with Internet Explorer. To access FTP sites directly, type URL in the Address box for the FTP site to which you want to connect, for example: ftp://ftp.howtonetworking.com. You can drop and dopy files and/or folders. If the FTP requires logon, you may have two options to do so. To log on to the FTP site as a different user, click Login As the File menu. Or type ftp://username:Password@ftpaddress, for example, ftp://bob:password@howtonetworking.com Related Topics Previous Page Next Page |
