Comments:

Mac OS X version 10.4 or above provides many features to share files, share the same network, and share the same peripherals, including printers, scanners, and cameras.

Mac OS X includes VPN client software that supports the popular Layer 2 Tunneling Protocol over Internet Protocol Security (L2TP/IPSec) and Point-to-Point Tunneling Protocol (PPTP), making Mac OS X compatible with popular VPN servers, including those from Apple, Cisco, and Microsoft.

With Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection client for Mac, the Mac can access Windows XP Pro and Terminal Server.
