1. How to access the PIX using telnet command over network

The Telnet command line lets you remotely manage the PIX Firewall via the Telnet interface. The Telnet interface limits access of the Telnet interface to specified client systems within the inside network (based on source address) and is password protected.

Example:

C:|\>telnet 10.0.0.1

User Access Verification

Password: xxxxxxxx

Type help or '?' for a list of available commands.

PIX515> en

Password: ########

PIX515#

Now, you are ready to configure the PIX Firewall.
