How to modify the AD Account Lockout

To modify the AD Account Lockout, please follow these steps:

  1. Open ADUC from the Administrative Tools
  2. Right click on the domain name. for example, chicagotech.net, and select Properties.
  3. Select Group Policy.
  4. Highlight the Domain Default Policy and then click Edit.
  5. Explorer Computer Settings>Security Settings>Account Policies>Account Lockout Policy. Double-click on the Account Policy Threshold and check the Define this policy settings.
  6. Change the # in Invalid logon attempts.
