Run Linux Mint from ISO  - Step by step with screenshots

In this example, we run Linux Mint ISO as VM from VMware ESXi 5.5 without installing it.

1. Create a VM on VMware ESXi 5.5.

2. Copy the Mint IOS file to host or locate computer running vCenter.

3. Capture the ISO file.

4. Power on the VM. You may select Start Linux Mint.

3. Now, you should have Computer, Home and Install Linux Mint icons on the desktop. You also have some applications' icons in the bottom.

Note: The Linux Mint is running from the ISO and is significantly slower because it is not installed on a hard drive yet.
