How do you check if I have an email forwarding settings  - Step by step with screenshots 

 

You can use these Windows Azure powershell command lines to check the forwarding settings:
$LiveCred = Get-Credential Connect-MSOLservice –Credential $livecred $Session = New-PSSession -ConfigurationName Microsoft.Exchange -ConnectionUri https://outlook.office365.com/powershell-liveid/  -Credential $LiveCred -Authentication Basic -AllowRedirection

Get-Mailbox -Identity username@chicagotech.net | Fl

 

If you setup the forwarding on Exchange server, you have this lines:

ExternalOofOptions : External
ForwardingAddress : User name
ForwardingSmtpAddress :

 

If the user setup the forwarding in OWA, you see these lines:

ExternalOofOptions : External
ForwardingAddress :
ForwardingSmtpAddress : smtp:username@chicagotech.net.
