How to run a cleaning job in Backup Exce

You must define a cleaning slot before running a cleaning job.

1. Open Backup Exec.

2. On the navigation bar, click Devices.
3. Navigate the the drive which contains the clean tape. In our case, it is Device Pools> EXABYTE 1 [0007..0007]>IBM 1 (BACKUP1) or BCKUP1 Robotic Library>EXABYT1>EXABYTE 1 [0007..0007]>IBM 1.

4.  Right -click on IBM 1 and select Clean.

5. You have two option to do the clean job, Run Now or schedule.
