How to enable simultaneous connections from imitators with different IQN names

In EqualLogic SAN version 3, you can have multiple server connect to a single volume by design. That may crush the data. For that reason, EqualLogic new version 4 disable this feature by default. In a case you need to access the same volume from different servers, you need to enable "Allow simultaneous connections from imitators with different IQN names". Otherwise, you may receive "Authorization Failure" message.

To enable "Allow simultaneous connections from imitators with different IQN names",

1. Access the Group Manager web utility. In the Volume, select the volume name you want to work on.

2. Click Modify volume settings under Activities.

3. Click on Advanced, and check "Allow simultaneous connections from imitators with different IQN names"

4. Click OK to save the settings.
