How to Setup a Snapshot in EqualLogic SAN

1. Log into the EqualLogic Group Manager.

2. In the left pan, expand “Volumes”, and then right-click the volume name (VM1 in our example) you want to create snapshot. Then select Create snapshot now.

3. In the Create snapshot window, type Snapshot description and make sure Make snapshot writable is checked.

4. In the Volume Activities menu, click on Create schedule.

5. Assuming we are creating daily schedule, type Schedule name and check Daily schedule.

6. In the Daily schedule, select the settings and click Next to continue.

7. Click Finish to complete the configuration.
