How to restore VM using Windows 2008 R2 backup
1. Run Windows Server Backup.
2. Select Recover from the right pane.

3. Select the backup file, A backup stored on another
location in our example.

4. Select Remote shared folder since our backup file is
located in remote computer.

5. Enter the UNC path to the backup folder.

6. Select Backup date and time.

7. Check the Files and folders since we want to restore a
VM.

8. Select the VM you want to restore.

9. Click Next to start the restore. After finishing, you
should have the VM restored on this Hyper-V server.
