How to Create a Group (users' home directories) for File Shares


5. On the New Resource, type “Home Folders IP Address” in the Name box, which will display in
Cluster Administrator as the name of the resource. This name is purely for internal
management of the cluster and is not the name clients use to connect to the cluster.

 

In the Description box, you can add a description if you like.

 

In the Resource Type box, select “IP Address”. This designates that this will be
an IP Address resource.

In the Group box, select File Shares since this will be the group we want the
resource to exist. This specifies which group this resource will be associated with.

Click Next button to continue.
