Virtual machine could not be started because hpervisor is not running

Symptom: When trying to start a VM, you may receive this message: "Virtual machine could not be started because hpervisor is not running".

Resolutions:

  1. Make sure the processor of the physical computer supports the virtualization.
  2. Make sure the virtualization feature is enabled in the BIOS of the physical computer.
  3. If you have made change to the Boot Configuration Data store, review these changes to ensure that the hypervisor is configured to launch automatically.
