How to Install VMware Tools in a Windows Guest


1. Make sure the virtual machine is running.

2. Open VM Console and select VM>Guest >Install/Upgrade VMware Tools.

 



3. Login the Guest machine.

4. If you have Autorun enabled in your guest operating system, it asks if you want to install VMware Tools. Click Yes to run the VMware Tools installer. If the Autorun is not enabled,  launch the InstallShield wizard by clicking on DVD Drive (D) VMware Tools and select Install or run program.

 



5. Follow the on-screen instructions  to install the VMware Tools
