How to install patch or update in VMware 1. Login VMware Infrastructure Client. 2. Click the host or ESX server and select Update in the most right.
3. Right click on the host and select Scan for Update.
4. It takes for a while to completing the update scan. After the scanning, then right click on the host again and select Remediate. 5. The Baselines page show up, select what you want to update.
6. The next page will show what will be installed.
7. Select how you want to install update.
8. Click Finish to start the update.
