How to enable Log on using dial-up connection in Vista Normally, if your laptop has joined the domain, you should be able to access the domain resources using your credentials after establishing the VPN. In a case, you want to establish the VPN while logon the domain, the VPN must be setup for all users. That also means the laptop must join the domain first. If your laptop meets these two requirements, you should see the Network Logon icon in the lower right cornet of the Logon screen. To logon using VPN or Dial-Up connection, double-click on the Network Logon icon, select the connection you want to dial if you have more than one connection.
