In our example, there are two Hyper-V hosts, WIN2012A and WIN2012B. The VM name called Win7-PC2 is on WIN2012A and we will enable WIN2012B as replica Server.

1. Open Hyper-V Manager.

2. Right click on WIN2012B and click Hyper-V Settings.

3. In the Hyper-V Settings, click Replication Configuration.

4. Check Enable this computer as a Replica server and check Authentication ports and storage.

5. In the "Inbound traffic needs to be allowed in the Firewall, click OK to enable ports in the windows Firewall.

Or on the WIN2012A, click the VM, win7-PC2 and select enable replication.

Select replica server, WIN2012B in our example.
