Cause 2: File and Printer Sharing is not enabled

To share a fie or folder with other computers, you must enable File and Printer Sharing. To check if you enable File and Printer Sharing or not, use this command: net share on the local computer and net view \\remotehost on remote computer.

For example, to check the local computer file sharing status, do "net share" command, it may displays:

C:\Documents and Settings\blin>net share

Share name Resource Remark

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
IPC$ Remote IPC
print$ C:\WINDOWS\system32\spool\drivers
Printer Drivers
ADMIN$ C:\WINDOWS Remote Admin
Temp C:\Temp
