How to factory reset an iPad?

Factory Reset will Erase All Content & Settings. Here is how.

  1. Backup Your Data: Before resetting, save important files using iCloud or iTunes.
  2. Go to Settings: Open Settings > General.
  3. Select Transfer or Reset iPad: Scroll down and tap Transfer or Reset iPad.
  4. Choose Erase All Content and Settings: This will remove all data and restore factory settings.
  5. Enter Your Passcode: If prompted, enter your passcode.
  6. Confirm Reset: Tap Erase iPad and wait for the process to complete.
