How to troubleshoot the Internet Access issues A1

None of the networking computers can access the Internet - Can you ping a public IP

To ping a public IP, open Command Prompt, type ping public ip and then press Enter. For example,

C:\Documents and Settings\blin>ping 4.2.2.1

Pinging 4.2.2.1 with 32 bytes of data:

Reply from 4.2.2.1: bytes=32 time=36ms TTL=242
Reply from 4.2.2.1: bytes=32 time=35ms TTL=242
Reply from 4.2.2.1: bytes=32 time=36ms TTL=242
Reply from 4.2.2.1: bytes=32 time=37ms TTL=242

If you receive "Reply", check this page. Can you ping a web site? If you receive "Request timed out", check this page, Check the TCP/IP settings.
