How to enable NetMeeting on XP

Microsoft NetMeeting is preinstalled on XP. However, you needs to configure it. To configure the NetMeeting on XP, please follow these steps:

1. Run conf.exe. Go to Start>Run.

2. When the NetMeeting Wizard displays, Click Next to continue.

3. Type the information such as name and email.

4. By default both "Lon on a directory server when NetMeeting starts" and "Do not list my name in the directory" are unchecked.

5. Select the connection speed.

6. Bt default both "Put a shortcut to NetMeeting on my desktop" and Put a shortcut to NetMeeting on my Quick Launch bar are checked. Then follow the instruction.

7. When running the NetMeeting, click Tools and select Remote Desktop Sharing to enable the Remote Desktop Sharing.

8. You also need to enable incoming calls and Outgoing calls. To do that, select Tools>Options>Security. Check both "Incoming Calls" and "Outgoing Calls".
