 However, it takes multiple clicks to do so. Today we will show you how to create an icon on Windows 8 to shutdown the Windows 8 by just one click.

1. Open Notepad and enter this command line: shutdown /s /t 1 /f. Note; t 1 means 1 second to shutdown and /f means force shutdown. If you want to create a icon for reboot the Windows 8, use this command: shutdown /r /t 1 /f.

 


  

2. Save it, for example poweroff.bat.

  

3. Right click on the poweroff.bat you just created and send it to the Desktop.

4. To shutdown the Windows 8, double click on the poweroff icon.
