Troubleshooting Browsing over VPN - A1: Ping the VPN server by IP. After establishing the VPN tunnel, you should be able to ping the VPN server's private IP address (assuming you don't block the ping). Can't ping - reason 1: (reason 2, reason 3) In some cases, especially Linksys IPSec VPN, the status display connected while ping is time out. If this is the case, double check the VPN settings. Most Linksys routers is for small business, they don't take 0.0.0.0 as remote security group, 255.255.0.0 or 255.0.0.0 as subnet mask and Any as remote gateway. |
