Turn off an email account in Windows mail app

In a situation, you have a problem to delete an email account in Windows mail, please follow this instruction to turn off the email account.

  1. Click Settings in the lower-left corner.
  2. Click on Manage Accounts, and then select the account you no longer want to receive email from.
  3. Click on Change mailbox sync settings, then scroll down to Sync options.
  4. Use the slider to set Email to Off and then choose Done > Save.
